Ringling School of Art and Design
Ringling School of Art and Design's primary mission is to provide an intensive professional education in the visual arts through programs leading to a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. A private, independent, four-year college that emphasizes quality, creative expression, and professional success. Founded in 1931 by circus magnate John Ringling - a creative entrepreneur who knew all about getting people's attention. About 1000 students from 42 states and 42 nations. In addition to its degree programs, Ringling School of Art and Design offers courses, lectures, exhibitions and other art-related services to the local and regional community through its gallery, library, continuing education and community service programs.
Stetson's 162 full-time faculty members, 96 percent of whom hold Ph.D. or equivalent degrees, teach all undergraduate classes. The student/faculty ratio is 11-to-1. 2,174 undergraduates come from 44 states and more than 47 foreign countries. There are more than 60 majors and minors leading to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, or Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
